History

1970s Foundation and Expansion into Overseas Markets

1972 Shohichiro Tokuoka founded the business, specializing in the export of home appliances, communication devices, and audio equipment.

1974 Established the construction machinery export division, laying the foundation for business expansion.

1976 Opened a sales office in Kuwait, entering the Middle Eastern market. Achieved a 95% market share for Japanese-made chainsaws in Saudi Arabia.

1977 Started exporting pots and vacuum flasks to the U.S. market, which later became long-selling products for over 40 years.

1980s Diversification and Strengthening of Domestic Market

1981 Started wholesaling small home appliances for the domestic market.

1982 Expanded the home appliance and audio business into two divisions. Established "SOLID AUTO Co., Ltd." and entered the automotive parts market.

1985 Faced with the sharp appreciation of the yen following the Plaza Accord, the company challenged itself to diversify its business.

1990s Pioneering Telecommunications Business

1994 Partnered with Japanese manufacturers to begin exporting fax machines and answering machines to India, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. Successfully introduced local assembly in the Indian market, with the partner company later becoming one of the top three in India’s mobile phone market.

1996 The Tamagotchi boom led to a rapid increase in the sales of amusement devices.

Since the 2000s Global Expansion and Social Contribution

2010 With the franchise expansion of Japanese companies, started exporting kitchen equipment to Southeast Asia.

2019 Participated in the "Evening of Sake" event hosted by the Japanese Embassy, promoting the company’s products.

2020 During the global pandemic, responded to a request from the Hong Kong government by providing medical masks.

2023 Invited to the "2023 Risk, Emergency, and Business Continuity Management Conference" hosted by the Saudi Arabian government, where the company’s technology and products received high international acclaim.
